The singer expresses her excitement about returning to the stage and evolving her music beyond personal inspirations.
The performer of "I Will Never Let You Down" is preparing to release her brand-new album, "You and I," set for next year. Already eager to hit the road again, the singer considers these moments the highlight of her music career.
In an interview with the Bizarre column of "The Sun," Rita expressed her excitement: "I will absolutely go on tour to promote this new album. After all the summer festivals, which have been a real joy, I am looking forward to getting back on stage."
She added, "Performing live is what fulfills me the most. I don't really enjoy the studio. I feel a unique connection with the audience, and it's that energy that drives me to create. The tour is the main reason why I make music."

Last month, Rita revealed that she was progressing with the album "one song at a time." In Bizarre, she shared, "The album is coming along well, but I am really doing it at my own pace. I'm not sure if it will be ready this year. Fortunately, my label [BMG] is giving me the time I need and is very understanding."
In the meantime, she has delighted her fans with new singles, including "Ask And You Shall Receive" and "Love Ain't It," featuring Brandy and Kylie Cantrall, from the film Descendants: The Rise Of Red.
Inspired by her relationship with Hollywood actor Taika Waititi and their marriage in 2022, her latest album, You And I, reflects these personal experiences. However, Rita now wishes to explore new inspirations. She confided, "I've somewhat exhausted this source of inspiration. I want my music to evolve, for me to enjoy creating, and to focus on what makes me happy. If that's not the case, I prefer not to do it, and I find that extremely liberating."
